Overview
Across is a cross-chain interoperability protocol for moving assets between blockchains quickly and cheaply, advertising roughly 2-second fills on mainnet across 28 supported chains. Rather than requiring integrators to choose a bridge, Across exposes a Swap API as a single entry point for all cross-chain operations and automatically selects the optimal settlement path, so applications do not configure routes manually. It handles both plain stablecoin transfers such as USDC and USDT and general token swaps, and supports direct route linking, which lets users hit pre-configured bridge routes via URL parameters without any API integration. The developer flow is three steps: request a quote from the Swap API with the transfer parameters, execute any required token approval, then send the main swap transaction using the returned calldata. Production usage requires an API key and an Integrator ID. Across also integrates with Hyperliquid's HyperCore for specialised settlement.
