Ribbon Finance rebrands to Aevo event

Event · PageRank 0.0000

Overview

Ribbon Finance, a DeFi structured-products protocol, folded itself into Aevo, the options and perpetual futures exchange spun out by the same team and built as an Optimism-stack layer-2 rollup. A near-unanimous governance vote by 133 RBN token holders approved winding down the RBN token and converting it 1:1 into a new AEVO token, moving the Ribbon app under the Aevo domain and adopting Aevo's visual identity for Ribbon's existing vault products. AEVO went to market in 2024 via Binance Launchpool, and RBN holders were able to convert to AEVO at a 1:1 ratio. The move consolidated the team's brands after Ribbon's structured-products business struggled to scale.
