dYdX v3 is a decentralized exchange (DEX) for perpetual futures trading, built on Ethereum and powered by StarkEx (a Layer 2 scaling solution). It used an order-book model and non-custodial cross-margin system, allowing traders to trade with leverage while maintaining self-custody of funds. The v3 platform was sunset on 28 October 2024 and superseded by dYdX v4 (dYdX Chain).
