The device is used to sign transactions securely, ensuring that private keys never leave the hardware. Unlike the later Trezor Safe series, the Model T does not include a secure element chip. SatoshiLabs discontinued the Model T in 2024 (as of 2026-07-16); it is succeeded by the Trezor Safe 5.
