Indonesia Keeps Benchmark Rate at 5.75% After Tightening Campaign
Bank Indonesia's Board of Governors, meeting on 21-22 July 2026, held the BI-Rate at 5.75%, alongside a deposit facility rate of 4.75% and lending facility rate of 6.50%. Governor Perry Warjiyo said the hold was aimed at strengthening rupiah stability amid global uncertainty and keeping inflation near the roughly 2.5% target for 2026 and 2027.
