Trump Signs Order to Map Supply Chains for National Security
Trump signed an executive order requiring US defense contractors to map their critical supply chains and identify inputs sourced from adversary countries such as China. The Secretary of War has 180 days to write the mapping policies, and from January 1, 2027 military department secretaries will stop granting waivers letting contractors buy prohibited foreign minerals.
