Kbank Joins HashKey to Build Won Stablecoin Payment Rails Before Korean Law Passes
HashKey Group, South Korea's Kbank and blockchain firm BPMG signed an MOU to develop won-backed stablecoin payment and settlement infrastructure, including a Korea-Hong Kong remittance corridor. It is a framework for testing rather than a launch, and comes while Seoul is still drafting the Digital Asset Basic Act governing won stablecoin issuance.
