zcashd shuts down, Zcash enters Ironwood era: Is quantum-resistant privacy the future?

Zcash completed its transition from zcashd to Zebra and Zakura, with zcashd reaching end of support on July 18 at block height 3417100. Shielded balances fell 14% to 4.42 million ZEC, but private transactions rose 11.1% QoQ to 131,584, and average daily trading volume increased 33.8% QoQ to $373 million. The network now enters the Ironwood era, featuring formal verification and quantum recovery.
