Overview
HyperEVM is the general-purpose Ethereum Virtual Machine environment on the Hyperliquid layer-1 blockchain. It runs alongside HyperCore — the component that operates Hyperliquid's order-book exchange — on the same chain, sharing the HyperBFT consensus that finalizes blocks. Because both live on one chain, HyperEVM smart contracts can interact directly with HyperCore's trading primitives without going through a bridge, letting developers build applications around Hyperliquid's spot and perpetual markets.
