Overview
OpenEden is a tokenised real-world asset issuer whose flagship product is TBILL, a tokenised US Treasury bill fund giving on-chain investors exposure to short-dated government debt and reverse repurchase agreements collateralised by US Treasuries. Its distinguishing achievement is credit-rating recognition: TBILL was the world's first tokenised real-world asset product to receive an investment-grade 'A' rating from Moody's, which noted that the credit quality of the underlying assets is in line with an Aaa rating. It later added an 'AA+' rating from S&P Global, giving the fund dual ratings from two of the largest credit rating agencies — described by The Block as a defining moment for tokenised treasuries. The underlying US T-bills are managed by BNY Investment Management and custodied by BNY, which puts conventional institutional infrastructure behind the on-chain wrapper. OpenEden has since moved into a broader tokenised RWA ecosystem phase with its EDEN token. OpenEden launched TBILL as a tokenised US Treasury bill product, became the first tokenised RWA to earn an investment-grade Moody's 'A' rating, later added an S&P Global 'AA+' rating, and selected BNY for investment management and custody of the underlying T-bills. It subsequently announced an expanded tokenised RWA ecosystem around the EDEN token.
