Overview
StakeWise is a liquid staking protocol for Ethereum and Gnosis Chain, governed by the StakeWise DAO through the SWISE token. Its V3 design, announced in 2022, is permissionless: stakers choose which node operator's Vault to deposit into, and can mint osETH, an overcollateralised and slashing-protected liquid staking token, against their stake. The design was intended to reduce stake centralisation by making solo and independent operators viable while still giving depositors a liquid receipt token usable in DeFi.
