Tokeny is a Luxembourg-based tokenisation platform founded in October 2017 by Luc Falempin and Daniel Coheur, whose stated mission is to give institutions the tools and expertise to upgrade to open finance. Its flagship product is the T-REX Platform, built on ERC-3643, the open-source permissioned token standard Tokeny introduced in 2018 and which is now governed by the independent ERC3643 Association. It also created ONCHAINID in 2019, which it describes as the world's first onchain identity solution and which supplies the eligibility checks that make ERC-3643 transfers compliant. Euronext made a strategic investment in Tokeny in 2019, and in 2023 Apex Group - which manages close to $3 trillion in assets - made an undisclosed investment that brought Tokeny into the Apex Group ecosystem. The company reports more than 42 employees, over 120 customers across five continents, billions of dollars in tokenised asset value and 3 billion onchain transactions facilitated, including the migration of $28 billion in tokenised commodities. Tokeny was founded in Luxembourg in October 2017, released the T-REX/ERC-3643 standard in 2018 and ONCHAINID in 2019. Euronext invested strategically in 2019, and in 2023 Apex Group took an undisclosed stake, making Tokeny part of the Apex Group ecosystem.
