Overview

Karak is a multi-asset restaking protocol that broadens restaking beyond staked ether: users can deposit liquid staking tokens, stablecoins, wrapped bitcoin and other assets into operator vaults to provide economic security. Services built on it are called Distributed Secure Services (DSS), Karak's analogue to EigenLayer's AVSs, and they draw on restaked collateral to secure their own operation. Karak also operates K2, an EVM-compatible Layer 2 it describes as a risk-management chain where services can be deployed and tested more cheaply than on Ethereum mainnet.

Within the DeFi Intel graph, Karak connects to 15 tracked entities, most strongly to Ethereum, Arbitrum, EigenLayer.
