Aave Gho Gsm protocol

stablecoin · PageRank 0.0000

Overview

The GHO Stability Module (GSM) is a set of Aave DAO-governed contracts designed to help GHO, Aave's native overcollateralised stablecoin, hold its dollar peg. Each GSM holds a governance-approved reserve stablecoin — deployments have used USDC and USDT — and allows users to swap between that asset and GHO at a fixed rate with a small fee, subject to caps set by governance. This gives arbitrageurs a direct route to mint GHO when it trades above peg and to redeem it when it trades below, tightening the price band around $1. Parameters such as swap fees, exposure caps and which reserve assets are listed are controlled by Aave governance.
