Overview

Bitt is a fintech company founded in 2013 and headquartered in Barbados that builds central bank digital currency infrastructure for monetary authorities. Its core product is a Digital Currency Management System (DCMS) built on Hyperledger Fabric, covering issuance, distribution and management of retail digital currency. Bitt is best known for building DCash with the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank, launched in March 2021 and described as the first retail CBDC publicly issued within a formal currency union.
