Overview
JPM Coin is a permissioned bank deposit token issued by JPMorgan Chase, representing a tokenized US-dollar commercial-bank deposit used for instantaneous settlement of payments between the bank's institutional clients. In November 2024 JPMorgan rebranded JPM Coin as Kinexys Digital Payments. As of 2026 it runs on JPMorgan's Kinexys (formerly Onyx) private blockchain, a permissioned network originally derived from Quorum, an enterprise Ethereum variant JPMorgan sold to ConsenSys in 2020.
