Maple Finance is an onchain institutional credit and asset-management platform, describing itself as 'the leader in onchain asset management' combining capital-markets expertise with DeFi. The core model is institutional lending — capital is pooled onchain and lent to vetted borrowers, with lenders receiving yield-bearing positions. Maple states it has originated $23.89 billion in loans since launching in 2019, and its current flagship product is syrupUSDG, an 'Onchain Credit Engine' live on both Ethereum and Robinhood Chain.
