Overview

Raydium is an automated market maker (AMM) and decentralized exchange (DEX) built on the Solana blockchain. It provides liquidity pools and historically routed order-book liquidity through Serum; after Serum was abandoned in the wake of the November 2022 FTX collapse, Raydium migrated to OpenBook, the community-run fork of Serum. The protocol enables users to swap tokens, provide liquidity, and earn yield.

Frequently asked questions

What chain is Raydium on?

Solana.

What makes Raydium different from a plain AMM?

It supplies its pool liquidity to an onchain central limit order book (originally Serum, later OpenBook), so AMM liquidity is also tradable against order-book flow.

What is the RAY token used for?

RAY is Raydium's native token, used for staking, farming rewards and voting on protocol changes.
