Also known as: sUSDe

Overview

sUSDe is the staked form of Ethena's USDe synthetic dollar. Users transfer USDe into the staking contract and receive sUSDe, an ERC-20 token that represents their share of the staking pool and accrues rewards over time; unstaking burns sUSDe and returns the proportionate USDe plus accumulated rewards. Rewards come from Ethena's protocol revenue, principally staked Ethereum yield plus funding and basis spread earned on the delta-hedging derivatives positions that back USDe, and this income is variable and can fall to zero in unfavourable markets. Unstaking is subject to a cooldown during which the sUSDe sits in the USDeSilo contract, though sUSDe can still be sold on secondary markets in the meantime.
