Overview

Connext was a cross-chain interoperability protocol that let users bridge funds and let developers write asynchronous cross-chain smart contract calls through its xcall primitive, with a network of liquidity-providing routers rather than a conventional lock-and-mint bridge. At its peak it reported over $1 billion in TVL and more than $500 million in monthly bridge volume. In 2024 Connext rebranded to Everclear and repositioned from a direct bridge into a netting and settlement layer for solvers and other bridges; Everclear has since announced it is winding down operations.

Within the DeFi Intel graph, Connext connects to 41 tracked entities, most strongly to Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base.
