Overview

Qivalis is an Amsterdam-headquartered joint venture formed by a consortium of major European banks to issue a euro-denominated stablecoin under the EU's MiCA regime. Its bank shareholders include BNP Paribas, CaixaBank, Danske Bank, DekaBank, ING, KBC, Raiffeisen Bank International, SEB, Banca Sella and UniCredit. The venture was announced in late 2025 with a launch targeted for the second half of 2026, subject to regulatory approval, and is positioned as a European alternative to dollar stablecoins. Jan-Oliver Sell was named chief executive and former NatWest chair Howard Davies as board chair.
