Overview
Matcha is a non-custodial DEX aggregator and trading front end built by 0x Labs, the team behind the 0x protocol. It routes swaps across a very wide surface — reported as more than nine million tokens across 100-plus decentralised exchanges on sixteen blockchains — and also taps liquidity from professional market makers, then uses smart order routing to split an order for the best net result. Trading requires no sign-up or KYC and happens directly from the user's wallet, and Matcha advertises zero platform fees on swaps. Beyond simple swaps it supports cross-chain trades and on-chain limit orders. 0x Labs' technical documentation claims execution typically 2-5% better than trading directly on an individual DEX for trades above $10,000. Matcha later expanded to Solana, making it one of the first aggregators to cover both SVM and EVM chains in a single app, with stated plans to help users avoid memecoin rug pulls. Matcha was launched by 0x Labs as a consumer-facing aggregator on top of 0x's routing infrastructure, with a major redesign released in May 2023. It subsequently added cross-chain swaps and expanded to Solana, becoming one of the first aggregators to serve both EVM and SVM ecosystems from one interface.
