Overview
The Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) is the Dubai government agency responsible for regulating virtual assets and virtual asset service providers in the emirate, excluding the Dubai International Financial Centre. Established in March 2022 under Law No. (4) of 2022, it is the world's first dedicated virtual asset regulator. VARA sets and enforces rules for the issuance, listing, and trading of virtual assets.
