Overview

Horizon is an institutional real-world-asset lending market developed by Aave Labs on Aave infrastructure and launched in 2025. It lets qualified and institutional participants post tokenised real-world assets — initially including tokenised US Treasury and credit funds from issuers such as Superstate, Circle and Centrifuge — as collateral and borrow stablecoins including USDC, RLUSD and GHO. Pricing and valuation of the RWA collateral use Chainlink data services, including SmartData and NAV feeds. Unlike Aave's core permissionless markets, Horizon applies issuer-level permissioning on the RWA collateral side.

Within the DeFi Intel graph, Aave Horizon RWA connects to 11 tracked entities, most strongly to Ethereum, Aave token, Circle.
