Overview
Plume is a public, EVM-compatible blockchain purpose-built for real-world assets (RWAs), designed to make traditionally illiquid exposures such as private credit and commodities usable in DeFi for staking, swapping, lending and collateral. Rather than merely wrapping assets, Plume markets itself as end-to-end infrastructure for onchain asset management, with composable tokens intended to plug into lending markets and structured strategies. Its own products include Nest, a yield protocol running RWA vaults (Nest Alpha, Nest Basis and Nest BlackOpal), the ecosystem stablecoin pUSD, and pETH, a native ETH liquid staking token. The network reports over 200 ecosystem protocols onboarded, more than 280,000 RWA holders and a $5 billion asset pipeline, with access to products from institutions including Superstate, Apollo and BlackRock. Its regulatory posture is unusually forward for a chain: Plume is registered with the SEC as a transfer agent for tokenised securities and holds a Class M Digital Asset Business Licence from the Bermuda Monetary Authority, and describes itself as the first regulated onchain vault manager. Backers include Apollo, Brevan Howard, Galaxy and Lightspeed.
